Australian Guy’s Terrifying Prank: Fill a Subway Car With a Flock of Seagulls

Published by

The Seagull is no stranger to the ‘Bogan (redneck) with Fish and Chips (French Fry). Some would even say they are the common peanut butter and jelly. If you have ever been on the beaches of Australia you will notice instantly that they will troll you for every last chip you have. They are potato eating chip addicts that prey on the fumbling hands of beach goers and food enthusiasts.

The Seagull Pandemonium

Australian media outlets such as TheAge, SBS, Broadsheet and even Buzzfeed have tried to piece together and find the factual evidence of the seagulls causing pandemonium. So we will simply put it to you to decide whether it is true or false or a game I used to love to play. Ripley’s Believe it or not?!

Guys this is the true crime story of the decade:Yesterday a friend told me what might well be the best story I’ve ever…

The story claimed that a man sitting at a Frankston Railway Station lured between 15-20 seagulls with chips onto the platform before throwing the bag inside the train, causing havoc.

Metro trains says they are unable to comment on the incident until they have more details and no videos have emerged from the train. Could it be that everyone was out of battery? Maybe the seagulls ran an absolute muck of which the Metro was embarrassed to report on?

Either way this is a crime of the decade, imagine if someone did the equivalent in New York, with slices of pizza and rats in the subway?

If you have never encountered an Australian Seagull known as the Silver Gull, let me introduce you to them. They are no stranger to the spotlight with causing havoc at the Moto GP by being the victim of a deathly headbutt from a racer, the constant attacks on Australian cricketers and overall just disrupting our beloved Australian Football games, but luckily I go for the for Hawks.

The Silver Gull:

Described as having a harsh, screaming call such as ‘Korr’ or “keow’

Learn and Remember and even pass on behaviors such as stamping their feet in a group to imitate rainfall and trick earthworms to come to the surface

Attack each other with violent calls and neck throws to assert dominance

Highly successful scavenger, allowing increased numbers near human settlements

Adults range from 40–45cm in length (17.7 in). Mean wingspan is 94 cm
